Reagan + Timothy

OUR STORY

They met in college...

During the Spring of 2016 the Iota Pi chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity was paired with the Theta Epsilon chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity for Kennesaw State University's Greek Week. Reagan actually cast Timothy in the skit/dance as one of Ursula’s eels without even knowing his name. Little did they know that their organizations being paired together would change the course of their lives. They didn't begin to speak consistently until the tailgate for Homecoming 2016, but they haven't stopped talking since.

They kissed on Reagan’s birthday...

On the night of Reagan's 21st birthday, they got together with a group of their friends to celebrate. While they weren't officially together and in fact had thought their feelings had been kept pretty under wraps (despite Reagan having asked him to formal already) each of their friends had individually told Timothy that he needed to kiss Reagan that night, so the pressure was on. Once all the guests had cleared out of her apartment he headed for the door and she figured it wasn't going to happen, but right at the last second he turned around and that was that.

They made it through everything in the middle…

Life and relationships aren’t all major milestones. Together they got through probably 200 job applications, most Reagan’s grad school, a lot of busy weeks where they just couldn’t seem to get on the same page. They have been on probably a hundred Chili’s dates and taken trips to Disney, Myrtle Beach, Panama City, even Mexico. They will have moved each other at least six times before even getting married. They went through the lows of losing Jazz and the highs of adopting Scout. And even got a house along the way!

They got engaged...

They had been talking about getting engaged for a while when Timothy finally pulled the trigger. Since Reagan knew it was coming, but Timothy insisted on it being somewhat of a surprise. They scheduled multiple outings where it could happen around a few weekends in March 2019. This way Reagan would never know when it was about to go down. The very first outing was to the Atlanta History Center to see the Swan House and the other museum exhibitions. Once on the History Center grounds Reagan and Timothy were bickering about which way to go around the large loop of sites to visit, and ended up walking up to the back of the Swan House from there everything is a blur. He got down on one knee and asked the question, and she said, “you’re the worst, yes!”

We continued to walk around Courtney snapping photos the whole way and then the day was punctuated with getting Chili’s for dinner, as one would with any special occasion.
